I am so allergic to television. David Letterman is one of the only people on TV that I can half stand to watch, especially when he has a taxicab related remark. And the other two clips below I shot inside my cab the other night, experimenting with the video feature on my new used digital camera for the first time.
Hans from Easter Europe leaned in my window as I played your videos, waiting in the airport cabyard. Your night cabbing is much the same as ours, it seems!
ReplyDeleteI like the Qabista's eye view of the NYC streets. It's like being behind the taxi wheel again. The throaty sound of the 4.6 liter police motor when you step on it, and the rattly loose ball joints really brings it back for me. Super new feature!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about the tv allergy. I just heard a coworker talking about CSI (a show my wife likes, but I can't stand) and I felt sorry for this poor little country, awash in bad US reruns.
I like movies without commercials. Letterman is okay, but can be a bit mean spirited, even if only in jest. The first video was like that, making bad fund of drivers, but the second one was funny.
I've had seven people in my taxi on two occasions. Once they were all rich high school girls going far to a big party. The second time was a bunch of drunks trying to save money at 2:30 am. Guess which one was more fun.
a $9.30 fare, always a good thing. Quick, get em out and move on !! Nice video work !
ReplyDeleteHey Gil, thanks for the video.
ReplyDeleteBe safe out there. xoxo
